Solo Scout (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is an indie game and creation platform operated by Brandon Flowers. This page describes what information we collect when you use soloscout.net, why we collect it, and how it's used and protected. We aim to keep this short and concrete: we don't sell your data, run third-party trackers, or build advertising profiles.
What we collect
- Google account email and basic profile when you sign in with Google. This is used as your account identifier and to display your name and avatar inside the app.
- Content you create on Solo Scout (worlds, tiles, scenes, posts, projects, feed selections). This is stored so it persists across sessions and so you can share or publish it.
- Purchase records when you buy credits. We store the credit amount, transaction timestamp, and a reference ID from our payment processor. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full billing address — those are handled entirely by Stripe.
- Operational logs — standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) retained for security and debugging, typically for 30 days.
What we don't collect
- Your Google contacts, photos, drive files, or calendar events — unless you explicitly opt in to a feature that asks for them.
- Cross-site advertising or behavioural data.
- Information from minors under 13. Solo Scout is not directed at children.
Why we collect it
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To save and serve your content across devices.
- To process credit purchases and apply them to your account.
- To diagnose bugs and improve the app.
Where it's stored
User data lives in a managed Postgres database hosted by Neon. App servers run on Google Cloud Run. Payment data flows through Stripe. All connections are encrypted in transit (TLS).
Who we share with
We share your data only with the service providers we depend on to run the app:
- Google — sign-in (OAuth) and infrastructure (Cloud Run, Cloud Logging).
- Neon — managed Postgres database hosting.
- Stripe — credit-pack payment processing.
We do not sell your data, license it for advertising, or share it with parties not listed above.
Your choices
- Sign out at any time from the settings panel.
- Delete your account by emailing the address below. We'll remove your profile, content, and credit balance within 30 days.
- Export your data — the Settings page exposes a JSON export of your profile and content.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when meaningful changes happen. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes that affect what we collect will be announced in-app.
